Welcome to the office of John A. Nassar, MD.
Dr. Nassar is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2001. Dr. Nassar completed an orthopedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in January 2002.
Dr. Nassar serves as a volunteer faculty member and clinical assistant professor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He has been actively involved in research and presentations in orthopedic surgery, but he currently practices exclusively in the area of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Nassar is an active member of the American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society (www.aofas.org), a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (www.aaos.org), and board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (www.abos.org).
Dr. Nassar also has a strong interest in wilderness medicine. He is an active field member of the Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association (www.mcsomr.org) and an active member of the Wilderness Medical Society (www.wms.org).
